Transformation Project

...is making disciples of Jesus Christ by transforming the lives of addiction-related offenders and their families through the power of God, thereby reducing recidivism.

The Transformation Project is a ministry expression of Living Free Ministries, in Chattanooga. This is a small group based ministry which begins by coming alongside men and women incarcerated at Silverdale Workhouse. Participants who complete a nine week Bible Study called Insights are given the opportunity to petition the courts for early release or furlough to our program on the outside.

The Transformation Project does not just focus on new habits, merely teaching participants to survive, but to thrive through the transformation which comes only through a new life in Jesus Christ. In order to accomplish that goal the resources of God must be incorporated into developing new thought patterns.

They are seeing lives transformed “by the renewing of the mind” [Rom 12:2] through:

A change of heart

By the WORD of God,

Through the SPIRIT of God

And the PEOPLE of God.

At NRCC, we want to be involved where God is working, so we have chosen to devote significant energy here. Currently, NRCC has committed to providing a meal once a month for the study group which meets at Bethel Temple Assembly of God. Our Pastor is also committed to teaching on that evening. Our hope and prayer is that as this ministry grows, our commitment to the Transformation Project will grow as well.
